Emotional Therapy
I support individuals and couples to process, feel, and navigate through their with emotional experiences such as fear, sadness, grief, guilt, anger, depression, hopelessness, loneliness, emotional and physical pain. Understanding how our emotions and physical experience maybe related to what life sometimes presents us with, some examples may be: anxiety, depression, the ever increasing cost of living, job loss, grief, relationship issues, medical diagnosis, aging, negative self image, etc. I work from an Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) perspective, for more information on EFT please see this website.
I strive to work alongside you to process your emotions and their messages and to help you develop strategies that you can utilize and come away from counselling feeling more connected to yourself and have lasting change in your life. Being more connected to your emotions, listening to them and understanding their messages, rather than reactively acting on our emotions improves our relationships with others, as emotions are what help us to have deeper more meaningful relationships with ourselves and others.
